Every New Beginning Brings its Challenges
It has been a long difficult journey to get to this point. I remember crying and praying on a long stretch of highway heading into Wyoming. Crying out to God asking him to tell me what my purpose is and what I should be doing with my life. I was in a dead-end job, had nothing to look forward to, and felt like I had lost my identity. As human beings we all want to be successful, not be alone, and have a purpose. It is in our purpose we find hope.
With large tears in my eyes, I surrendered to God. He gave me a peace I had never experienced before and a feeling that he was not done with me yet. I was overcome with love and an eagerness to receive my marching orders. Over the next few weeks, God revealed his plan for my life.
I never thought of myself as an Entrepreneur. However, that was what I was being called to be. After a failed venture, God informed me that he would be sending people my way. People that would teach and support me. I did not know what that would look like and who to look for.
Everyone Needs A Cheer Squad
While on a work trip, I met a remarkable strong woman named Natalie. It was the most effortless friendship I have ever been involved in. It was like we had known each other for years. I found out she was the leader of the #worthytogethermovement on Instagram. She has an amazing devotional for mothers and daughters to help them know their worth and navigate the troubled waters of raising and growing up as an adolescent. Her friendship has given me strength and encouragement and her guidance in navigating the Instagram world has been invaluable.
Out of nowhere, a talented photographer name Kym from Kaptured Studios approached me about working with other female entrepreneurs in a styled photoshoot. I was so honored I wanted to do everything in my control to make it successful for everyone participating.
During this collaboration, I met 6 beautiful, talented, and amazing women. The photographers of Kaptured Studios and Carbon +Copper Photography and the models made me feel like I belonged. Everyone worked hard and everyone genuinely cared about the success of each other.
It was here that my friend Brandi, approached me about co-hosting a podcast with her. I remember the day she had told me her passion and vision for the podcast. I shared her passion, but knew Brandi had the talent and skills to make that successful. To have her ask me to join her on this venture, floored me. She has a heart of gold and will do anything she can to help those around her. So, to be working on Diamonds in the Rough Podcast side-by-side with her is a tremendous honor.
Last but not least, Heather from HP Bricker Web Design. She has been vital in making sure my website can provide Diamond Arrow a competitive edge. Her passion and dedication to her work shows in each finished website she launches. Without her, I would not get very far.
On the launch of Diamond Arrow Boutique, I will never forget the hard work and support by the women God has placed in my life. I will jump at the opportunity to help any one of them. God has blessed me and I look forward to seeing what God has planned in the coming months. I humbly acknowledge that I do not know everything, but I know God is teaching me every single day through prayer and the women he has placed and will place in my life. Thank you for joining me on this adventure and I cannot wait to style each and every one of you to show you how each of you are beautifully and wonderfully made.
